Traditionally, a birthstone is associated with the month of the year. For example: a person born in January, their birthstone would be Garnet.

There are legends and myths about birthstones having healing powers and therapeutic influences.  These legends state that wearing a gemstone during its assigned month heightened its healing powers.

January - Garnet

February - Amethyst

March - Aquamarine

April - Diamond

May - Emerald

June - Pearl

July - Ruby

August - Peridot

September - Sapphire
